Damonte Ranch is a community located in Reno, Nevada. The ranch began in 1939 when an Italian immigrant, Louis Damonte, began raising alfalfa and cattle in the Truckee Meadows. Today, the land is still a functioning cattle ranch as well as a developed residential community.

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue – The Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue was formed in 1972 to ensure the safety of those in Damonte Ranch and Northern Nevada as a whole. The department offers emergency medical assistance, fire-rescue services, and fire suppression.

Nevada Museum of Art – The Nevada Museum of Art was initially run by a small group of landscape painters. Due to this, the museum has a long history of examining how people interact with their natural world. In fact, the building’s architecture is inspired by the geographic formations of the Nevada desert.

Damonte Ranch High School – Damonte Ranch High School strives to prepare students for college, careers, and being active citizens in a global society. The school provides a challenging curriculum and teaches their students to be responsible and respectful.
